HISTORY

THE ORIGINS

Francesca Bubba Lombardi carries the love for the countryside in her veins. She spends her childhood in the Piacenza countryside where her family owns a cattle farm. Her grand grandfather Pietro Bubba founded the first Italian factory producing motorized agriculture vehicles in the city of Rottofreno (Piacenza).

1973

50IES

In the 50ies the family business is sold to an American company, the new “Arbus-Bubba”. After the death of his father Francesco moves to Milan with his family never forgetting the scents of the countryside and always longing to go back to live in the middle of trees and forests.

A DIFFERENT CHOICE

Francesca, Donato and their children Elena and Federico make a different choice than their neighbours who invest in the production of Chianti Classico wine. Understanding the extraordinary natural quality of the ground (75% Galestro) they plant 4000 autochthonous olive trees choosing the best quality among the varieties of  Leccino, Maurino, Correggiolo, Frantoiano, Moraiolo and Pendolino.
